Interlocking Gatefold Card

Oh, hi! It's time for another collaboration with my friend Marla from MAD about Cards & Crafts. This month we decided to pick a technique from Jennifer McGuire's channel that we've always wanted to try. I chose the Interlocking Gatefold Technique.

Merci, My Best-Tea!

Oh, hi! I've got two clean and simple cards to share today. One was a bit more involved because I wanted to bring the background to the foreground, so I did a bit of paper piecing. You can see how they came together in the video. And, don't forget to use Promo Code: “N2S10” for 10% off your order at Not 2 Shabby! Some exclusions apply. (Exclusions may include newly released MFT and Lawn Fawn releases.)

Let's Gnome Fishing!

Oh, hi! Well, this wraps up my Guest Designer series for the Whimsy Stamps Digital Team. It has been so fun creating with these images.  If you missed the first two cards, you can see them here and here.

For this darling Fishing Gnome, I decided to keep it pretty simple so he would be the star of the show.

{Supplies used are linked in the text in this post. Compensated affiliate links may be used at no additional cost to you. Thank you for your support!}
I printed him out onto a piece of Cougar Super Smooth card stock and colored him up with my Copics.

I ran him through my Gemini, Jr. die-cutting machine with using the second largest Wonky Stitched Rectangle die and adhered that to a piece of brown card stock cut slightly larger.

I cut the green polka dot paper from the Giraffe 6x6 Paper Pad to 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered that to a piece of brown card stock that measures 4 1/8" x 5 3/8".  I added that to the front of a Neenah 80# top folding A2 sized landscape notecard.

You're How Old??

Oh, hi! Here's my second Guest Designer project featuring the adorable NEW Dino Digital Stamp from Whimsy Stamps.

When I first saw this guy, I just knew he had to be paired up with balloons, a snarky sentiment and patterned paper from the Giraffe 6x6 paper pad.

{Supplies used are linked in the text in this post. Compensated affiliate links may be used at no additional cost to you. Thank you for your support!}

I printed him out onto a piece of Cougar Super Smooth Card Stock and colored him up with my Copics.

I stamped the balloons from the Happy Everything stamp set using Fossilized Amber and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Inks.  For the balloon strings and the sentiment, I used VersaFine Onyx Black ink.

Then, I had my fancy Brother Scan N Cut machine cut out the dinosaur and balloons.

I stamped the sentiment from the Cow Party stamp set onto a piece of Neenah 80# card stock and ran that through my Gemini Jr. die-cutting machine with the Quick Strips die set.

My card base is an A2 top folding card made from Neenah 80# card stock.  I cut a piece of mustard card stock down to 4 1/8" 5 3/8" and adhered that to the front of the card base.  Then I cut the confetti patterned paper to 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered that to the front of the card.  I cut the fishtail banner by hand from aqua polka dot paper and yellow card stock so there would be a slight border.

I adhered the fishtail banners to the front of the card and then added foam tape to the Dino, balloons, and sentiment just for a little bit of dimension.

Copics used:

Dino - R27, R08, R05, R22, E43, E42, E41

I have one more project to share with you  . . . so be sure to check back next Friday!

Introducing Sherbert!

Oh, hi! I'm so honored to be a Special Guest Designer for the Whimsy Stamps Digital Team!

Today, I've got a super cute card to share featuring the NEW Sherbert Digital Stamp from Whimsy Stamps.

Isn't he EVER so cute??  And I just knew that he would pair perfectly with the Licorice Paper Pad!

{Supplies used are linked in the text in this post. Compensated affiliate links may be used at no additional cost to you. Thank you for your support!}

I printed him out onto a piece of Cougar Super Smooth Card Stock and then colored him up with my Copics.  Then, I used an oval die to cut him out and adhered that to a scalloped oval that I die-cut from black card stock.

My card base is a top folding A2 sized card made from black card stock.  I trimmed the Candy card stock down to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" so there would be the slightest black border behind that.

I cut the striped paper down to 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" and adhered that to a piece of black card stock, just slightly larger and added it to the card base.

I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Everything Stamp Set using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and ran that through my Gemini Jr. die-cutting machine using the Quick Strips Die Set.  I adhered that to a black piece of card stock that I had also die cut using the same die set.

I put a little bit of foam tape on the sentiment and Sherbert just to add some dimension.

Here's a list of the Copic Markers I used to color the image:

Hair - E29, E27, E25
Skin - E13, E21, E53, E51, R00
Hat, Shirt and Bowtie - W4, W2, W1, RV34, RV32, RV11
Jeans - B39, B34, B45
Shoes - C3, C1, C5
Lollipop - RV43, RV32, C1,0
Candy in the Jar - RV34, RV32, RV11
Jar Lid - C5, C3, C1
Jar - BG000

But, wait! There's more! I'll be back next Friday featuring another NEW digital image, so be sure to check back!
