Santa & Rudolph Coffee Cups . . .

. . . and, a gift card holder, too!  You guys, I dug deep into the archives for this one!  I used to teach this style of gift card holder when I had my store.  It's pretty quick and easy to create and can easily be customized for just about anything.  For this one, though, I had to do a coffee theme.

My inspiration came from a card I saw on Pinterest where the "To Go" cup was done up like Santa Claus.  And, if there's a Santa, then there should also be a Rudolph.  And ya know what?  The Coffee Break stamp set by Honey Bee worked out perfectly!  The images are just the right size!

A pocket is created on the inside that fits a gift card perfectly.
I started out by stamping the "To Go" cup onto red, white and black card stock using Extreme Black Hybrid ink from My Favorite Things.  I cut out the whole cup from the red card stock, the lid from the white card stock and the "cozy" from the black card stock.  For the buckle, I used two square dies and cut it from Gold Glitter card stock.

Then, it was just a matter of paper piecing to put it all together.  Easy Peasy!

For the Rudolph cup, well, I gotta tell ya, I had colored the image before I even came up with this idea.  I was just kinda playing around with coloring blended coffee drinks.  I used pictures from Starbucks' website for a bit of guidance and then watched a video from Sandy Allnock for even more guidance.

Anywhoooo . . . after I put the Santa cup together, I stared at it for quite some time. . . and then I remembered that I had previously colored the blended coffee image.  So, I set them next to each other and then started thinking about how I could turn the blended coffee drink into a Rudolph.  Of course! Googly eyes and a red jewel.  But he needed ears.  So, I pulled out the stamp set again and lo and behold!  There is a stamp of two little leaves. . . so I turned them into ears.

Oh, don't worry. . .. there's a video showing the whole kit and caboodle. The supplies and measurements for the Gift Card Holder are listed below, as well.
