Whimsy Stamps Happy Hamsters

Oh, hi! I've got a couple of cards to share today using the super cute Happy Hamsters Stamp Set by Whimsy Stamps.  I just cannot get over how.stinkin.cute these guys are!

And the new Birthday Celebration Paper Pack has the best patterns to go with them! So, for the card above, I stamped the hamster with the cupcake and the sentiments onto a piece of 80# Cougar Super Smooth Card Stock.  After I colored up that cute little guy, I ran the panel through my Gemini, Jr. with a Rounded Rectangle die. I matted that to a piece of green card stock just slightly larger and used a corner rounder on the corners.

Next I cut the patterned paper with the presents and party hats down to 1 3/4" x 5 3/4". I cut the patterned paper with the pennants down to 2" x 2 3/4", and the balloon patterned paper is cut to 2" x 2 1/2".

I adhered all of the patterned paper to a piece of green card stock that measures 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and adhered that to a top folding A2 sized notecard.

I added foam tape to the back of the Rounded Rectangle panel and attached it the to front of the card.

To finish it up, I added just a few sequins in the top right corner and added a lime green flat-backed gem to the hamster's party hat.

Moving on to the next card:

I really wanted to try something a tad bit out of my comfort zone and color up the balloons so they appeared transparent. . . especially since one hamster is hanging on to the top a balloon and the other hamster is inside the balloon . . .and I couldn't help but wonder, "How exactly did he get in there??"
