Whimsy Stamps Snowy Watermill - 2 Cards

Oh, hi! I've got two cards to share today using the new Snowy Watermill cling stamp by Whimsy Stamps. This stamp is so beautiful and can be used in so many different ways.

For my first card, I stamped the image onto a piece of Cougar Super Smooth card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I colored it up with my Copics (colors used are listed at the bottom of this post) and to add a really wintery feel, I used a white gel pen to add some falling snow.

I trimmed the stamped panel down and adhered it to a piece of blue card stock and then adhered that to a top folding A-2 card base made from Neenah Desert Storm card stock.

For my second card, I dove deep into the archives and decided to create a Faux Postage card. And the new Extreme Postage Die Set from Whimsy Stamps made it soooo easy!

I started out by using one of the dies from the Extreme Postage die set and die-cut it from a piece of Neenah Classic Crest card stock. I masked off the edges with some Washi Tape and then did a bit of ink blending with Old Paper and Bundled Sage Distress Inks.

With the Washi Tape still in place, I stamped the Snowy Watermill stamp right on top with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then used my Copics to color in the image. To add a touch of sparkle, I used my Wink of Stella Glitter pen and went over all of the "snow."

When I removed the Washi Tape, I had a nice crisp white border around the edge to give the look of a postage stamp.

Next, I randomly stamped some snowflakes from the Snow Flurry stamp set onto a piece of green cardstock with VersaMark ink. And to add some snow, I spattered Dylusions White Spray Ink using a paint brush.

I adhered that panel to the front of a top folding A-2 sized note card made from light brown card stock. I added foam tape to the back of the "faux" postage stamp and added that to the front of the card. . . and Viola! all done!
